EvoXLabs Launches a PAID Co-Op Program

With the help of the continued support from AccessComputing, EvoXLabs is launching a semester long co-op program starting in Spring 2017. This program is specifically designed to provide a platform for students to learn and get a hands-on experience in web accessibility and accessible technologies while working closely with subject matter experts.

The students will work on EvoXLabs' new initiative "Aditum API", design and develop web interfaces following the web accessibility standards, and assist in organizing the yearly evoHaX for the Philly Tech Week. These initiatives and projects are not only designed to be tech-savvy but will also create social impact.

This grant from AccessComputing allows the co-op position to be paid for students with disabilities pursuing the field of Computing. For students without disabilities, the co-op position in unpaid but may come with travel compensation, if applicable. The co-op position is fairly flexible allowing selected candidates to work remotely.

There are only a limited number of positions available and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. In order to apply (or if you have any questions), please email your resume with a link to your LinkedIn profile (if you don't have one - now would be a time to create it) to applications@evoxlabs.org. There'll be an initial phone screen interview followed by an in-person/Hangout interview. The application deadline is December 15th, 2016.

We, at EvoXLabs, are thrilled to have the opportunity to be bringing a diverse group of students on board. We strongly believe in diversity and universal design, and with this initiative we can't wait to see the amazing outcome it will bring.
